Propulsion

All engines are housed in the 11Mx11M engine section. Propulsion is provided by 7 LH2/LOX powered aerospikes, 4 linear and 3 toroidal, with only the linear ones providing vectored thrust. Alternatives to beryllium as additive, or the use of RP-1+Aluminium for a tri-propellant mix may be researched,

The linear aerospikes have a 4 meter nozzle wall and can deliver more than 3+MN of thrust. The toroidal aerospikes are around 3 meters in diameter, and are able to deliver more than one MN each.

Alternatively, a set of 8 upgraded Rocketdyne's RS-25 or Glushko's RD-701/RD-180, and one toroidal spike might be used. The upgraded engine is given 3 nozzles, within a 3M diameter casing, and can achieve 7+MN of thrust each, for a total of 56+MN.
